Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that Iran has not made a commitment to any party and country about Yemen.

Iran Press/Iran news: In response to British Foreign Minister's allegation of Iran's commitment to the Yemen crisis, Bahram Ghassemi said, "We have not made a commitment to any party and country about Yemen."

Ghassemi said Yemen is an independent country and making decision about its issues is related to the Yemeni people, adding that Iran has nothing to do with the internal affairs of Yemen, Iran Press reported.

Pointing out that the international community must work to resolve the crisis in Yemen, Ghassemi said some European countries should refrain from exporting arms to the countries that invaded Yemen.

UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt has recently claimed that he had talked with Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif about Yemen and Iran has made some commitments on Yemen.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, has engaged in military aggression against Yemen and ground sieges, naval and air strikes since March 2015.

The war initiated by Saudi Arabia and its allies has killed more than 16,000 Yemeni people including thousands of women and children, injuring tens of thousands more, and displacing millions of Yemenis.  101/202/213
