Iran Press/ Iran News: In this conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian emphaszied on the principle of dialogue based on mutual respect as an important step to remove obstacles and move forward in the path of relations between Europe and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Referring to the recent talks between Iran and Europe, Iran's top diplomat stated: "We think that the two sides are on the path of taking positive steps."
Amir-Abdollahian added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran always welcomes constructive initiatives."
In response to Burrell's statements regarding the execution of perpetrator of Ahvaz terrorist incident , he noted that some European authorities, instead of showing their determination to fight terrorism, unfortunately, by adopting interventionist positions, they help to promote the sinister phenomenon of terrorism.
In this conversation, the latest developments in Ukraine were also discussed.
In this phone call, Borrell welcomed the ongoing cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, noting that its continuation as a useful and positive act.
The high representative of the European Union in foreign affairs and security policy said: "JCPOA is important for the European Union and we are working for the return of all parties to it."
Borrell also pointed to the process of normalizing relations between Tehran and Riyadh, and considered it an important step in strengthening regional stability. 219
