Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs entered Samarkand, Uzbekistan in order to participate in the fourth meeting of Afghanistan's neighbors, which will be held with the presence of Iran and 6 other countries.

Iran PressAsia: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the accompanying delegation will participate in the fourth meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries (including the Islamic Republic of Iran, China, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Russia) which will be held in Uzbekistan.

This is the fourth such summit that discusses issues facing Afghanistan where the Taliban took power in August 2021 following the chaotic withdrawal of the US after more than two decades of war.

The top Iranian diplomat is also scheduled to meet his counterparts from Russia, China and Pakistan for their second quartet summit. 219
