Iran Press/Iran News: The Spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Ruhollah Latifi stated that Iran’s foreign trade with the ECO member states in the first 8 months of the Iranian year (beginning from March 21st) amounted to more than 10 million tons of goods, worth of more than 5.7 billion dollars.
"The share of Iran's exports to ECO member states is nearly 7.5 million tons of goods, worth of almost 3 billion dollars," he noted.
"Condensate, petroleum products, fish, shrimp, tomato paste, vegetables, fresh and dried fruits, flowers and plants, saffron, and nuts have been Iran's exports to the CEO member countries," Latifi pointed out.
"Iran's imports from ECO member states amounted to 2.8 billion dollars equal to 3.5 million tons of goods," he said.
"Production raw materials, yarn, cotton, barley, flaxseed, lentils, beans, medical equipment, industrial raw materials, acids, industrial equipment, and agricultural machinery are imported goods of Iran from ECO member states," Latifi announced.
ECO members include 10 countries, namely Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.
