Iran Press/Iran news: Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, during a meeting with Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), termed Israel of being the primary source of instability and tension in the region mentioning the Israeli regime's crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.
The Iranian sneior diplomat emphasized the need to address root causes of insecurity in the region, particularly in maritime areas.
He stated that the Israeli government, by perpetrating various forms of international crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, is considered the primary cause of tension and instability in the region.
He additionally condemned recent sanctions imposed by the European Union and the United Kingdom on Iran's shipping industry, labeling them as breaches of international law and International Maritime Organization (IMO) agreements.
Dominguez emphasized the importance of maritime security in the Red Sea and urged Iran to increase its efforts in safeguarding the safety and security of seafarers and shipping in this area. He also expressed his dedication to enhancing collaboration with Iran and exploring fresh initiatives to enhance maritime safety.
