Iran condemns terrorist attack on commemoration ceremony of Abdul Ali Mazari

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of the late Abdul Ali Mazari's death that resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of innocent people in Afghanistan.

Iran PressAsia: The Iranian Embassy, ??in sympathy and solidarity with the Afghanistan's government and nation, expresses its condolences to the families of the victims in this criminal act and wishes immediate healing for the wounded, and gave the assurance that such incidents cannot realize its perpetrators' intentions to undermine Afghanistan's national unity.

An attack took place at a ceremony in the Afghan capital of Kabul on Friday 6 March where a top Afghan political leader, Abdullah Abdullah, was present but he escaped unharmed, his spokesman said.

Afghanistan's Ministry of Health announced that in this incident 27 are killed and 55 are injured.
