Iran Press/ Iran news: Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, referred to reports of forced confessions, torture, unfair trials of executed prisoners and international requests to stop the executions, saying that: "The Bahraini state's sectarian move showed that the government insists on its wrong policy of oppressing the protesters rather than choosing the path of efforts to resolve the self-made crisis through popular conciliation."
Referring to evidence and documents showing the Bahraini government's past use of terrorist groups and extremist groups, such as Al-Qaeda, to 'eliminate' opposition figures, Mousavi also added that "executing protesters for various reasons was the same old worn-out approach. But the difference now was that the Bahraini state is itself executing and eliminating the protesters, instead of using terrorist groups to do this work for them."
Al Khalifah regime executed two pro-democracy activists on Saturday, ignoring appeals by human rights groups worldwide and a last-minute appeal to stop the execution by the UN special rapporteur on extrajudicial killings, Agnès Callamard.
