IAEA Director General Yukia Amano has once again verified Iran's commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/America: In a statement to the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, Yukiya Amano said Iran is implementing its' nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

According to Iran Press, Amano added: "It is essential for Iran to continue fulfilling these obligations."

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano stated that the Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear materials declared by Iran under its' Safeguards Agreement.

US President Donald Trump withdrew Washington from the nuclear agreement in May and reintroduced sanctions on Iran in August. The second wave of sanctions, which targets Iran’s oil exports and central bank, started in early November.

Despite Trump's hostile policy towards the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said on October 6, that the EU should remain strong on its' commitment to the historic Iran nuclear deal.

British Ambassador to Iran Rob Macaire also said on October 14, compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as an international agreement is the basis of 'our relations with Iran'.

More over, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on October 22, that Donald Trump administration could smoothen the way for dialogue by adhering to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and stopping its' unilateral sanctions.

Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani highlighted the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the international agreement to illegal conduct and illegality and emphasized the international community's commitment to confronting unilateralism and maintaining peace.  101/202
