Tehran (IP) - National Engineer's Day is celebrated in Iran on February 24 to honour the efforts and achievements of the Iranian engineers commemorating the birthday of Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, the great Persian scientist.

Celebration of National Engineer's Day commemorates the birthday of Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, a Persian polymath and prolific writer. He is considered one of the most outstanding Persian scholars of the Islamic Golden Age. 

In his specialties, he has served the world in which his trigonometry books were translated into French in the 16th century and was one of the exponents of this science.
