Iran Press/America: Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York in a statement on Wednesday night local time, in reaction to FBI accusation against Iran's interfering in the US presidential elections through hacking said that the FBI's statement has no credibility and legitimacy.
"Such allegations are fundamentally unfounded and wholly inadmissible," Statement added: Iran does not engage in the domestic uproars or electoral controversies of the United States.
The statement said: that Iran neither has any motive nor intent to interfere in the US election; and, it therefore categorically rejects such accusations.
"If the US government is really looking for the truth, it should provide us with its substantiated documents formally and transparently to receive a proportionate and precise response," the Iran Mission said.
A similar statement was issued last month after a joint statement by FBI and several US intelligence agencies claimed that Iran was involved in hacking of the campaign of Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, as well as trying to hack the campaign of Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate.
This Time The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the FBI, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in a joint statement that in late June and early July, Iranian malicious cyber actors “sent unsolicited emails to individuals then associated with President Biden’s campaign that contained an excerpt taken from stolen, non-public material from former President Trump’s campaign as text in the emails,” CNN reported.
During a rally Wednesday night in New York, Trump claimed without evidence that Biden was involved in the hack despite the law enforcement statement.
"Iran hacked into my campaign. I don’t know what they found. I’d like to find out, couldn’t have been too exciting, but they gave it to the Biden campaign. I can’t believe it – oh yes I can,” he said.
