Tehran (IP) - Iran's government spokesman said that whenever the US tries to build boundaries, Tehran tumbles them down.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's government spokesman Ali Rabiei made the remarks during a press conference on Sunday at Tehran on the sideline of the cabinet meeting.

The government spokesman said that whenever the US tries to build boundaries and ignore Iran, the country's diplomats didn't let it happened.

According to the Iran Press, he criticized countries imposing sanctions on Iran and push other countries to follow them under any condition.

Answering to the questions at the press conference, the spox noted that the officials of many countries have visited Iran to lessen the US-made obstacles and tensions in the region and we appreciate their intentions, however, regional security gets provided by its people.

"It has been said that war vessel is sailing to the Persian Gulf, these sort of news sense the threats and aggression. Regional issues must be solved by its people not others even its security provide by them and Iran is one of the most significant countries to keep and maintain security," Rabiei stressed.

 

Regarding the seized Iranian oil tanker by the UK, Rabeie said:" Following the legal processes, they must free our oil tanker without conditions. We did not announce the Iranian-seized oil tanker's destination or whether it is sailing to Syria."

Talking about Iran's relation with neighbors, Rabiei said: "We appreciate what the Saudi Arabia representative's saying to cooperate with Iran but talking is not enough, they must make it practical."

"We always eager to have the best possible relationship with our neighbors" he continued, adding: "To reach prosperity, reciprocal respect is needed." 

Iran's government spokesman also answered the request of the US Secretary of State to have a word with Iranians, saying that Mike Pompeo can be interviewed by Iranian anchor, Marzieh Hashemi. 

“The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif had interviews with some of the media with large audiences and this made Mike Pompeo request for an interview with Iranian media,”Rabiei noted.

“So, we announce that he can have an interview with our correspondent, Marzieh Hashemi, and tell her what he wants to say,” added Rabiei.

“We are always ready to listen,” Iran's government spokesman noted.
