As Iran is one of the top 10 countries with tourist attractions, the head of the Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce stated that Iran and Brazil should further promote tourism.

Fakhreddin Amerian, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the Iran-Brazil business forum, stated that Brazil is one of the biggest exporters of livestock feed to Iran. He also mentioned that launching a direct shipping line could offer an opportunity to balance trade between the two sides.

Emphasizing the importance of barter trade between Iran and Brazil, Amerian called on government entities to prepare a list of commodities that could be traded between the two countries.

Amerian stated that the annual trade value between Iran and Brazil is around 6 billion dollars, with Iran's imports from Brazil being approximately twice the value of Iran's exports to Brazil.

He concluded that Iran is a top producer of pistachios, raisins, and dates. He suggested that reducing import duties on these products by half would increase Iran’s exports to Brazil.
