Tehran (IP)- In a telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Brazil, the latest bilateral relations were discussed.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir- Abdollahian and Mauro Vieira, the foreign ministers of Iran and Brazil, had a telephone conversation.

In the conversation, Amir- Abdollahian, expressing his satisfaction with the growing relations between Iran and Brazil, said: "We hope that with the increase in contacts, the ground for expansion and greater mobility will be provided in the good cooperation between the two countries."

Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira also emphasized the importance of the high capacity of Iran and Brazil in economic and commercial fields and stressed the desire of Lula's government to strengthen cooperation with Tehran.

In the conversation, opinions were also exchanged regarding the upcoming BRICS meeting in South Africa and its expansion and strengthening.

While emphasizing the growing importance of BRICS in global relations, the Brazilian side stated that Iran has high capacities to help achieve the goals of BRICS.
