Iran Press/Iran news: Due to the importance of the museums in reflecting the cultural and natural heritage, the International Committee of Museums (ICOM) named May 18 the Day of Museums and Cultural Heritage.
The slogan of 2022 Museum day is "Power of Museums" since they play a key role in realizing democracy, peace, coexistence, compromise, social participation, and expansion of diplomacy.
Tehran and Tabriz provinces have respectively the most number of museums in Iran.
Visiting Azerbaijan Museum, a French tourist Christoph told Iran Press correspondent in Tabriz, northwest of Iran, that vising the museum was very attractive and informative for him, making him more familiar with the primitive humans and the tools they used.
Antonio, an Italian tourist, told IP about the richness of Iranian history and appreciated the opportunity to visit the Iranian museums.
