Iran Press/Iran news: According to Iran Press News Agency, Captain Abbas Hasani, the spokesman for the 2024 Hybrid Maritime Search, Rescue, and Security Exercise said: "In this exercise, vessels and helicopters from Iran's army, as well as the Russian SB45 vessel, which entered the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran, are participating."
He added: "Officials of Caspian Sea coastal countries are monitoring the various stages of this exercise as observers."
In the 2024 Hybrid Maritime Search, Rescue, and Security Exercise, the floating and flying units of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia practiced firefighting operations in the Caspian Sea.
Captain Abbas Hasani said: "In this exercise, the floating and flying units of Iran and Russia, based on the predetermined scenario, carried out fire extinguishing operations, rescuing the injured employees and repairing the damage caused to the commercial vessel."
Hasani added: "The special forces of the Iranian Navy landed on the floating deck and carried out relief operations to the injured and transported them to medical centers."
Also, the forces participating in the exercise carried out the fire extinguishing operation of the damaged ship, and the operation of towing the commercial vessel to a safe anchorage was successfully carried out. 204
