Iran Press/ Iran News: "We are among the top 4 countries in Asia in the production of biotechnology drugs and, having over $2 billion of savings in foreign exchange in this sector," Bahram Darai said on Sunday at a news conference.
While amid the corona pandemic, Iranian knowledge-based companies used biotechnology to mass-produce vaccines, Darai said.
He noted that over 97 percent of the medicines needed by the country were produced domestically.
