Iran Press/ Middle East: Sheikh Maher Hammoud made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Secretary-General of the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly Ayatollah Reza Ramezani Gilani in Beirut on Sunday.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Ramezani Gilani said that Palestine and the liberation of Holy Quds were at the heart of the assembly's actions in the face of global arrogance and Zionism.
For his part, Sheikh Maher Hammoud said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been at the forefront of supporting the Palestinian resistance and cause.
He added that the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly and the International Union of Resistance Scholars should work together to further address the important issues of the Palestinian people, including the right of displaced Palestinians to return to their homeland.
He also censured the crimes of the forces led by Samir Geagea in the Al-Tayouna area as a US sedition with the help of some internal traitors to ignite a new civil war in the country, stressing that the Resistance front, as always, vigorously neutralized the dangerous sedition.
