Behrouz Kamalvandi, deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said on Friday, referring to the destructive resolution of the IAEA Board of Governors against Iran: After the resolution, our compensatory measures began immediately, and we had already said so.
Iran Press/Iran news: Kamalvandi added: When the Director General of the Agency was in Iran, he visited the Fordow and Natanz enrichment complexes with his deputy. There, they saw thousands of different machines that were installed and ready, and we said that these are ready, and while we are looking for interactive solutions, we are also ready if the opposing parties adopt a different method.
The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said: The Director General of the Agency had a proposal that the reserves could be temporarily not increased to 60 percent, of course not in a way that enrichment at various levels, including 60 percent, would be stopped, but that a space for interaction could be temporarily created so that the reserves would not increase to 60 percent. We accepted this with certain conditions.
The deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organization added: The enrichment sector is the most important sector that will be affected, and we will significantly increase the enrichment capacity by using various advanced machines. With these machines, we will increase the speed of industrial research and development and develop infrastructure.
He said: They (Western countries) make mistakes every time and seek to push our nuclear industry back, but this will not happen, and on the other hand, the number of countries that vote for them decreases every time.
Kamalvandi added: "The head of the Atomic Energy Organization gave the necessary order last night, and we didn't even leave the work for today, we started it last night, and soon the Agency will issue its reports (on increasing Iran's enrichment capacity). 204
