Turkey(IP) - Iran's Minister of Roads and Uban Development said that during his meeting with the Turkish authorities in Ankara, 10 cooperation documents between were decided to be signed between Iran and Türkiye.

Iran PressAsia: After meeting with the Turkish ministers of foreign affairs, youth and sports, and transportation, Mehrdad Bazrpash said: "According to the comprehensive agreement of 2015 between the two countries, about 100,000 trucks are annually traveling between the two countries through several border terminals."

He referred to the existing challenges in aerial and grand transits between Iran and Turkey and said that based on the agreements with the Turkish authorities it was supposed that problems such as airplane fuel supply at Turkish airports and truck delays at customs gates be investigated and resolved.

Iran and Turkey are two important countries in the region that connect China to Europe due to their being located on the east-west corridor, the Iranian roads minister said, highlighting the strategic importance of Iran and Türkiye in terms of international transportation.

He said that efforts are being made so that the semi-implemented projects existing are completed in the current year.
