Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi, in his meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Hijabi Kerlangic on Wednesday, emphasized strengthening the relations between the two countries to fight organized crime and arms smuggling.
Due to the significance of the Aras River matters, the Minister of Interior has proposed the formation of a working group to enhance the ties between the Iranian and Turkish border provinces.
The Minister of Interior added: Iran and Türkiye are two vital wings of the Islamic world and the region, but the West and the United States do not want the Islamic world to grow for any reason.
"The all-round expansion of the relations between the two countries will spread peace and stability in the region and provide the basis for more communication between the people, Iran's Vahidi highlighted.
The Turkish ambassador, for his part, called for the strengthening of trade and security cooperation between the two countries and the fight against terrorism.
