Iran Press/ Asia: According to Iran press, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov in Bishkek expressed their concern about the actions of some Western countries in financing a number of terrorist outfits in Afghanistan and their efforts to increase their activities. These groups expressed themselves in Central Asia and the region.
The secretaries of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran and Kyrgyzstan also opposed the interference of the western side in the internal affairs of the countries of the region and trying to impose their goals and demands.
Also, the increase of cooperation in various political, security and military dimensions, especially in the fight against terrorism and ISIS, was one of the other axes of this meeting, which was emphasized by the parties.
In the end, Iran's secretary of the Supreme National Security Council invited his Kyrgyz counterpart to visit Iran, which was welcomed by the secretary of the Kyrgyzstan Security Council.
Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, at the invitation of his Kyrgyz counterpart, left for Bishkek at the head of a delegation to participate in the 6th meeting of secretaries and national security advisers of the countries of the region regarding Afghanistan before noon on Thursday 26 Bahman 1402 ( February 15, 2024).
The Islamic Republic of Iran is the organizer of this meeting, two of which have been held in Tehran so far.
In these meetings, the highest national security officials of the countries of the region, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, China, India, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are scheduled to discuss the most important security and political issues regarding Afghanistan and its results and consequences for the region its people.
