Iran Press/Iran news: According to Iran Press, this joint statement was published following the negotiations between the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.
In this statement, it is stated: "In the framework of the historical fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the religious ties, neighborliness, common history, and mutual interests between them, Mr. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, and Mr. Dr. Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran held a bilateral meeting in Tehran on, Sunday on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain to the Islamic Republic of Iran and at the invitation of the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in the meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum(ACD).
It is also stated in this statement: "In this meeting, the two sides agreed to create the necessary mechanisms to start the talks between the two countries to examine how to resume political relations."
