Vienna (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance has traveled to Vienna, Austria to attend the OPEC Fund's Ministerial Council members meeting.

Iran PressIran news: During the meeting, Ehsan Khandouzi discussed investment plans with economic ministers from various countries. On the first day of his visit, Khandouzi met with the UAE's Minister of Finance, Mohammad Bin Hadi Al-Hussaini.

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Khandouzi emphasized the importance of exchanging opinions and determining investment plans for construction projects.

He also noted that this year's OPEC fund ministers' meeting focuses on two goals: Economic resilience and social justice and equality within countries.

"This marks Iran's first participation in the OPEC fund meeting at a ministerial level in four years, providing an important opportunity for cooperation with other economic affairs ministers from different countries," he added.

The minister stated that the focus on justice and equality is aimed at improving income distribution and increasing access for vulnerable groups, both of which are key objectives of the OPEC Fund  Ministerial Council members meeting; in fact, the president of Iran also pursues these two goals.

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran also expressed hope that the results of the meeting and the approval of investment plans will help Iran's neighboring countries to reap the economic benefits of the OPEC fund's objectives within the framework of Iran's main economic diplomacy agenda which is based on "neighborhood policy."
