Iran Press/ Africa: The representative of the international BRICS alliance in the west and central African region Don Mello, in exclusive interview in Johannesburg at the BRICS summit called the event as one of the most important one in Africa comparable to Berlin conference.
Ahoua DON MELLO further stated: "It’ll bring a lot of integration and a lot of sovereignty to our continent because of the need of Africa in terms of investment, and infrastructure is so huge that it is incompatible with the hegemony situation that we’re facing right now in the world."
Talking about what can be the role of BRICS in international trade in the World Top Brics official said: "I think that the role of BRICS is to increase the relationship between BRICS countries and African countries because our history created a lot of relationships between Western countries and African countries, now it’s the time to break this hegemony and create more relationships between BRICS countries which are the most important in the world right now.You see China is now the 1st world economy, you see Russia, Brazil, India, and all these important countries can create a lot of relationships between Africa and diversify our relationship to face the need for investment in Africa."
Ese where Don Mello went on to elaborate on about the de-dollarization noting: "I think it goes with a multipolar world because the hegemonic world is incompatible in terms of Money or currency which is the dollar if we want a multipolar world we need a multipolar currency so I think it’s time to go through a multipolar currency."
Finally Responding to the question "How can African countries benefit from this relationship with the BRICS?" DON MELLO said: "I think we have a lot of things to get because we need investment 1st, then we need training to increase the skills of young people in Africa. Above all we need factories, a lot of them, we need to copy and paste all factories in the world and the African continent can gather all these factories in the world to increase employment and wealth in the world, because you know Africa is the most important continent in the World.”
