Iran Press/Iran News: In his tweet account, the Iranian international law expert, Reza Nasri who specializes in Charter law and the legal aspects of Iran's nuclear program and has written on the role of the Security Council in the Iranian nuclear dossier said: "Assassination of General Soleimani is Iran's 9/11."
"In fact, it's the Region's 9/11," he wrote, adding that "This act of terrorism by the United States would forever divide the region's history into before and after General Soleimani's assassination."
Iranian lawyer warned that the assassination of the Iranian General, Ghassem Soleimani would mark the end of US presence in West Asia.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.
The assassination sparked massive protests and criticism in Iran and around the world.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Lieutenant General Soleimani has been named in the list of top Global Thinkers in the defense and security in Foreign Policy (FP)’s 2019.
