Tehran (IP)- At the conclusion of the conference "Iran and BRICS, perspectives of cooperation", the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs stated: Interaction with multilateral institutions has always been on the agenda of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran's approach to multilateralism and its allies is a strategic choice.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amirabdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, added: The purpose of holding this conference is to examine the potential of cooperation between Iran and BRICS.

He went on to say that From the report presented by the representative of South Africa in the panels, it seems that the first step towards mutual recognition has been taken.

He emphasized: BRICS and collective cooperation are definitely a step forward in emerging economies. BRICS represents real political and economic synergy and has the power to influence the region and the world.

Today, we have seen that the economic growth of BRICS has strengthened self-confidence and increased its effectiveness. The share of BRICS in the global GDP is increasing.

He said: Iran can be a reliable and effective partner in bilateral and multilateral cooperation due to its geo-strategic location and having oil and gas networks and young and expert forces.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs added: The cooperation between Iran and China to connect China to the Persian Gulf connects China and India as two partners.
