Iran (IP) - The International Quds Day rallies kicked off in Tehran and across Iran with people of all walks of life as well as officials attending the rallies.

Iran PressIran News: The rallies in Iran, organized by the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council (IPCC), started at 10 a.m. local time (0630 GMT) in Tehran and other cities across Iran on Friday.

Ten routes have been designated for the rallies throughout the Iranian capital, where people from all walks of life are heading to the iconic Enqelab (Revolution) Square. 

The keynote speaker of International Quds Day rallies in Tehran is Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament. In other cities, various personalities will speak on the importance of International Quds Day and the cause of Palestine.

According to the announcement of an official in charge of organizing the programs, this year's International Quds Day ceremony and rallies will be covered by over 4,000 journalists, photographers, and videographers, over 150 of whom are foreign media journalists.

Also, since last night, many groups, along with revolutionary institutions and non-governmental organizations, have been stationed in the rallies routes for the implementation of various cultural special programs.
