Tajikistan (IP) - Concurrent with the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, a magnificent ceremony to commemorate International Quds Day was held with the large presence of Tajik officials, political, religious, social and cultural figures, resident ambassadors and diplomats and representatives of international organizations, media members and Iranians living in Tajikistan in the Saadi Hall of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tajikistan.

Iran PressAsia: The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and then the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tajikistan, Mohammad Taqi Saberi, greeted the guests for their presence and wished them a worthy acceptance of their prayers and receiving the blessings of this month.

Saberi stated: Considering the importance and position of the holy places in the Islamic world, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in condemning the occupation of Palestinian lands by the usurping Zionist regime, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan of every year International Quds Day.

The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran noted: "The crimes committed against the Palestinian nation were a clear and serious violation of the provisions of international law, and human rights, as well as the provisions of the United Nations Charter and UN resolutions, and until the roots of this crisis and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people are not paid attention to, there is no possibility of solving this crisis."

Mohammad Taghi Sabri added: Quds Day is one of those true manifestations of the unity and cohesion of the Islamic world. Al-Quds will remain the capital of Palestine and the first qibla of Muslims. We are sure that with the continuation of the struggle of the Muslim people of Palestine and the support of the Islamic world, Palestine will be freed by God's grace and return to the Islamic world.

Pointing out that Al-Quds Day reminds everyone that Palestine and Al-Quds belong to all Muslim, Christian and authentic Palestinian Jewish people, he said: The temporary occupation of the Zionist regime cannot change this fact.

The ambassador stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on its human, national and religious values and its international commitments, has always emphasized the need to resolve the Palestinian crisis, and said: The cause of Palestine and the freedom of the holy city for Iran, is not a tactical approach while it is a real and strategic political issue. The government and people of Iran will support the rights of the Palestinian people.
