Iran Press/ Asia: As many as 251 deaths due to the pandemic since Sunday morning took the total death toll to 458,437, Xinhua News Agency reported.
There are still 158,817 active COVID-19 cases in the country despite a fall of 455 active cases during the past 24 hours. The health ministry said India's active caseload was the lowest in 248 days.
A total of 33,668,560 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals so far, out of which 12,718 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
Pakistan confirms 482 new COVID-19 cases, 6 more deaths
Pakistan on Sunday confirmed 482 new COVID-19 cases and six more deaths, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Monday.
The NCOC, a department leading the campaign against the pandemic, said that the country has conducted 20,839,791 tests so far confirming overall 1,273,560 cases, including 1,222,559 recoveries.
The number of active cases has dropped to 22,545 who are under treatment across the country, including 1,338 those who are in critical condition.
According to the NCOC, the pandemic killed six people on Sunday, increasing the overall death toll to 28,456.
Pakistan's southern Sindh province is the most-affected region of the country in terms of the number of cases with 470,175 infections followed by the eastern Punjab province which has reported 440,259 infections.
Mongolia reports over 360,000 COVID-19 cases
Mongolia reported 921 new local infections of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the national caseload to 361,505, the country's health ministry said on Monday.
Among the latest confirmed cases, 667 were detected in the capital city of Ulan Bator, which is hardest hit by the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the national death toll increased to 1,672 after 11 more people aged over 40 died from the virus in the past day.
Currently, 16,451 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals across the country, according to the ministry.
The resurgence of the virus has continued due to the highly contagious Delta variant.
The country's health authorities have urged the public to avoid mass gatherings, wear masks in public and receive a booster shot.
