Lebanese Scholar:

Lebanon (IP) – A member of the Muslim Ulema Union of Lebanon called Imam Khomeini a scholar who changed global support for Palestine.

Iran Press/ West Asia: On the threshold of Imam Khomeini's demise anniversary, Sheikh Hussain Ghabris described Imam Khomeini as a gift of God to the world's oppressed and said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press: "Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was announced, we have been living in a golden and different time, and we have witnessed pride and changes everywhere since about half a century ago."

Sheikh Ghabris said that in the past the Israeli regime used to carry out aggression on both Arab and Islamic countries, including murder, destruction, and occupation up to when Resistance Axis emerged in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq and created real, changes in the regions' equations. 

He referred to the recent pro-Palestinian movement of the Western universities, especially in the US, and stated: " What we see today in the universities, especially American and European universities, is a real intifada led by students and some professors."

Late Imam Khomeini was the one who initiated such changes and currently, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei continues the path, the Lebanese scholar said. 

On 3 June 1989, Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic and the first Supreme Leader of Iran, passed away at 89.
