Iran Press/ Iran News: The noon prayer of Ashura was held in the courtyard of Imam Reza (AS) in the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) led by Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi and in the presence of a large crowd of mourners of Imam Hussein (AS).
Today Sunday coincides with the tenth day of Muharram (Ashura) 1442 AH (August 30, 2020). On this day, many places in Iran are covered with black banners, and people mourn for Imam Hussain (AS).
This year, however, due to the spread of the coronavirus, Muharram ceremonies will be held differently from previous years.
ٍEmphasizing the need to carry out the protocols by the directors of the religious bodies, the Iranian health officials announced that there will be sufficient supervision over the observance of the health protocols so that Muharram rituals will be held along with the observance of the health protocols.
