The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, stated that he had substantial discussions with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, ahead of his upcoming visit to Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran News: In this message, which was published along with the picture of the meeting between the two sides, Rafael Grossi wrote: I had a timely and essential conversation with Kazem Gharibabadi, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, on the eve of my upcoming trip to Tehran.

Grossi then met with Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, on the sidelines of the 68th General Conference of the Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna and announced in a message that he would soon travel to Tehran "for important political and technical meetings".

“Timely and substantive exchange with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi in preparation for my upcoming visit to Tehran,” Grossi said in a post on social media platform X on Thursday.

Grossi shared a photo of the meeting with Gharibabadi along with his message.

Previously, the IAEA chief had expressed his readiness to engage with Iran's new government to resolve outstanding safeguards issues.
