IP- Hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters have rallied outside the 66th Grammy Awards in downtown Los Angeles, carrying Palestine flags and banners demanding a ceasefire, reportedly blocking people from entering the ceremony.

Iran PressAmerica: Hundreds of activists and human rights supporters gathered near the 66th Grammy Awards venue in Los Angeles yesterday to voice their support for Palestinians amid the ongoing war in Gaza.

The red carpet meet-and-greet outside the Grammy Awards was delayed to the protest, which was documented with viral videos shared on social media under the hashtag #ShutItDown4Palestine.

Police arrested some protesters, attempting to disperse the demonstrations that took place around the ceremony venue.

Several American artists displayed their support for a ceasefire during the ceremony, as the bloody conflict in Gaza reaches its 121st day.

Scottish singer Annie Lennox also marked her performance at the ceremony by calling for a ceasefire.“Artists for a ceasefire, peace in the world,” she said, holding up her left hand.

Israel has pounded the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.

At least 27,365 people have been killed and 66,630 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since then.

Israel had announced its goal from the beginning of the operation to destroy Hamas and then release the Israeli captives in Gaza, but after four months, not only this goal has not been achieved, but Israel's insistence on these two goals has caused differences in that society.

Opposition to the Zionist regime has increased around the world after the start of the war, and every day we see demonstrations against the killing of the people of Gaza.

On Saturday, the pro-Palestinian protesters in the UK staged the first national demonstration since the UN’s International Court of Justice ordered the Israeli regime to ensure its forces do not commit acts of genocide in Gaza.

The International Court of Justice, last month, ordered the Israeli regime to try and prevent genocidal acts from being committed by the Zionist forces inside Gaza but stopped short of ordering a ceasefire.
