Iran PressMiddle East: On Wednesday and today, Thursday, on the occasion of the so-called anniversary of the destruction of Solomon's Temple, Israeli extremist groups called for a massive attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Iran Press, citing Türkiye's Anatolia news agency, the head of the Quds Endowment Department said on Wednesday night that 343 Israeli settlers attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque from the entrance of Bab al-Maghrabeh.

On the other hand, "Itamar Ben Gvir", the minister of internal security of the Israeli regime, attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque with a number of settlers from the entrance of Bab al-Qattanin.

Fadi al-Hadami, Minister of Quds Affairs of the Cabinet of the Palestinian Authority, said: "Extremist right-wing groups are seeking to create a religious conflict by violating the historical and legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and calling for the desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by performing religious rituals."

The Israeli settlers are attacking this holy place in a bid to divide the time and place of Al-Aqsa Mosque and trying to change the status of this holy place.

Palestinian fighting groups have emphasized that al-Aqsa Mosque is their red line, and any attack on it will be met with a strong response.
