Yemen (IP) - Amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, has declared an escalation in operations against the Israeli regime. In a speech delivered live from Sana’a, the Yemeni capital, al-Houthi stated that the intensity of their actions would increase "as long as the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza continues."

Iran Press/ West Asia: This declaration followed a series of Israeli airstrikes that targeted vital infrastructure in Hudaydah, resulting in tragic casualties. Israeli warplanes targeted buildings, oil facilities, and a power station in Hudaydah, killing at least three people and injuring 87, most of them with severe burns.

During his address on Thursday afternoon, al-Houthi highlighted the broader implications of these attacks, describing them as part of a larger economic and military campaign against Yemen. "The US is waging an economic and military war on Yemeni people and is also mobilizing tools and agents to tighten the siege," he explained.

Further emphasizing the strategic nature of the Israeli strikes, al-Houthi noted, "The enemy's choice of targets comes within the context of targeting the Yemeni economy." He specifically pointed to the assaults on the oil company’s tanks and the electricity institution’s tanks in Hodeidah as examples of direct aggression.
