Beirut (IP) - A successful ambush by Hezbollah fighters on Israeli military forces took place on Friday night, according to media reports.

Iran Press/Iran news: A field commander, speaking to Al-Mayadeen, confirmed the ambush near the town of Adaisseh, close to the border with occupied Palestine. He said that the operation occurred late Friday, when Hezbollah fighters detected movements by Israeli forces around the village of Adaisseh at approximately 10:20 PM local time.

According to the commander, by 11:00 PM, the Israeli invading forces had reached the ambush site, which had been prepared in advance. The fighters, shouting "Labayk Ya Nasrallah" (We are at your service, Nasrallah), opened fire with a variety of light and heavy weapons.

In the ensuing gunfire, explosives carried by the Israeli forces were detonated, resulting in 15 Israeli casualties, both dead and wounded, as their cries filled the air, according to the source.

Hezbollah also issued a statement early this morning, confirming that at 1:00 PM on Saturday local time, they had used suicide drones to target the "Shimshon" base, the headquarters of the Israeli army's regional support and logistics command. Hezbollah claimed that the attack hit buildings and locations where Israeli soldiers were stationed with precision.

The previous morning, Israeli sources reported heavy exchanges of fire along the border near Kiryat Shmona, a northern town in occupied Palestine near the Lebanese border, and confirmed that Hezbollah fighters had infiltrated the area.

In an interview with Al-Manar on Friday night, Mahmoud Qomati, deputy head of Hezbollah’s Political Council, stated that Hezbollah fighters had thwarted all Israeli attempts to penetrate Lebanese territory.

"We are ready for any further attempts by the enemy to advance. We have superiority in this sector, and should Israeli forces enter Lebanese soil, they will find their tanks and soldiers buried where they fall," Qomati declared.
