Hezbollah has launched strikes on key military targets in northern Tel Aviv as part of its initial response to the assassination of Fuad Shukr, a senior commander in the group.

Iran Press/West Asia:  A source within Hezbollah has confirmed that the movement targeted significant military positions in northern Tel Aviv in retaliation for the assassination of Fuad Shukr, a high-ranking commander.

The source informed the "Al-Arabi" network that Israel failed to conduct a preventive strike, stating that the targets referenced by Israel were in response to a deceptive operation carried out by Hezbollah.

“The Israeli army could not intercept our offensive drones, and we successfully misled them with the launch of numerous rockets,” the source said.

Hezbollah announced it had successfully struck two main targets in northern Tel Aviv, with further details expected to be disclosed soon. The source indicated that there were no casualties on their side during Israeli attacks on over 30 targets, as those locations had been evacuated beforehand.

Hezbollah's actions followed a prolonged period of heightened tensions, particularly in light of recent assassinations, including that of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. Reports indicate that many Israeli settlers in northern regions have evacuated their homes due to the fear of retaliation from Hezbollah.

In addition, Hezbollah dismissed Israeli claims that it had neutralized their drone operations, asserting that its drones successfully penetrated Israeli air defenses. According to the Al-Mayadeen network, Hezbollah's operation involved targeting a vital military objective deep within occupied territory, signifying a calculated response despite Israeli warnings.

As tensions continue to escalate, the psychological impact on the Israeli population has intensified, with many residents reportedly experiencing anxiety and fear due to the ongoing conflict and uncertainty regarding future attacks.
