Tehran (IP) - Given the increasing importance of cruise missiles in naval and land warfare, many prominent countries in the world, including Iran, have focused on the design and development of the missiles.

Iran PressIran news: The 'Heider 1' missile, made by Iran's Army is carried by large drones and hits targets from a distance with a range of 200 km.

Also, 'Heider 2' is a cruise drone designed by the army to carry out long-distance missions. The former is carried by big drones and the latter is designed to be carried by helicopters like 214. 

Haider 1 air cruise missile weighs 60 kg. Its length is 3.83 meters and its warhead's weight varies from 13 to 25 kg.

The missile is a micro-turbine type with a weight of 40 kg, when fired at a target, it has a speed of about 450 to 500 km/h, which destroys any target, both stationary and moving. Its seeker is of CCD-IIR type. 

Heidar is capable of identifying targets, sending images online, locking optically on target, and the precise explosion of it. 

Heidar 2 cruise was successfully tested in a 2023 exercise from a 214 helicopter, hitting a target from 30 km. It also enjoys a GPS guiding system, and the pilot can control it after it is fired.

Due to its high destructive power, the Heidar 2 cruise is designed to destroy armored units and concrete trenches. The Heidar Cruise missile was unveiled in 2023 winter.
