Hangzhou (IP)- Iran's national fencing team lost to China and failed to advance to the finals of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Iran PressAsia: China defeated the Iranian men's sabre fencing team on the fifth day of the Hangzhou Asian Games, resulting in Iran's third-place finish.

The Iranian team was defeated by China 45-41 in the semi-finals.

Ali Pakdaman, Mohammad Rahbari, and Farzad Baher were the Iranian fencers in the competition against China. 

Baher was replaced by Mohammad Fotouhi in the match. 

Rahbari performed outstandingly and put Iran ahead 30-28.  

The match concluded with a final score of 35-30. 

Iran had previously defeated Hong Kong 45-39.
