The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the Israeli attack on a children's hospital and a centre for the disabled people in Gaza on Saturday morning, calling it a barbaric crime.

Iran Press/Middle East: Hamas spokesman Hazim Qasim said in a press release that the bombing of the Gaza Strip by Israeli warplanes had caused panic among civilians and damaged a children's hospital and a centre for the disabled.

Qasim added: "These crimes will never weaken the determination of the Palestinian people, but will make them more insistent on continuing the struggle and getting their legitimate rights."

Last night, Israeli warplanes fired a series of missiles in the eastern, northwestern and central parts of the Gaza Strip. The airstrikes inflicted heavy damage on the area, injuring two young men and a Palestinian child, who were taken to a hospital in Gaza for treatment.
