Tehran (IP) - The Guardian Council Spokesman said that the meetings of the Guardian Council and Parliament are aimed to lessen the exchange of bills for approval between the two bodies.

Iran PressIran news: Ayatollah Alireza A'rafi, a member of the Guardian Council jurists and the director of the seminaries of the country had a meeting with Iran's Parliament lawmakers on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.

The council, consisting of 6 lawyers and Islamic Jurists (Faqihs) in Iran is assigned to see if the bills adopted by the parliament are in accordance with Islam (Sharia). 

In response to Iran Press on his live presser, Iran's Guardian Council Spokesman Hadi Tahan-Nazif said on Saturday that all the meetings should end to increase the quality of both bodies to offer services for people.

Recently the council addressed the issue of car imports, examining the relevant import regulations to see if it was compatible with the law.
