Iran Press/ Iran News: In a Saturday statement, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi dismissed as unfounded and ridiculous what has been reported by certain news outlets and media claiming Iran has sent missiles to Iraq.

Reacting to a Reuters report that claims Iran has given ballistic missiles to some Shia groups in Iraq and is developing the capacity to build more there, Ghasemi said such claims are aimed at sowing fear among regional countries, and are part of a campaign to demonize Iran, MNA reported.
Earlier, in response to French FM Jean-Yves Laudrian, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman stressed that the defensive missile program of Iran is not debatable under any conditions.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said "the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated its clear and transparent stance on unwarranted concerns and misunderstandings and ignorance of some countries" about its defensive missile program.
"The JCPOA (nuclear deal) negotiations that led to a strong and international agreement reflected Iran's goodwill and adherence to the principle of dialogue, and efforts to utilize rational and peaceful methods that could provide a sound and wise basis for measuring Western countries goodwill and adherence to their obligations, but with the unilateral withdrawal of one of the most hawkish, … claimants [Trump], and the weakness and laxity of others [Europeans], they left an unacceptable record,” he asserted.
The spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry noted that such unfounded claims are meant to adversely affect Iran’s relations with other countries, especially neighbouring countries.
Earlier, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi, reacted to a statement issued by NATO heads of state at their summit in Brussels, Belgium. Ghasemi said we categorically reject and refute 'the same old accusations' against Iran, since they are patently false, as we have stated many times in the past.
According to an Iran Press report, Bahram Ghasemi said, "We are carefully monitoring the discussions at the NATO summit in Brussels, and in particular we are watching the pressures exerted by the U.S. on other NATO members. The Americans want to impose their views and policies on other NATO countries, and in particular European countries, and in our view this is regrettable."
