Iran Press/Iran news: The funeral ceremony for martyr Ismail Haniyeh started Thursday morning at Tehran University at 8:00 am local time.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday morning led the mass prayer for the Palestinian Mujahed and Palestinian Resistance Leader, Ismail Haniyeh at Tehran University.
After Prayer, the body of Ismail Haniyeh and his martyr bodyguard in a ceremony with the participation of Iranian officials and people in a march transferring from Tehran University to Tehran's Azadi Square (Freedom Square).
Massive crowds of Iranian people in attendance of senior Iranian officials took part in the funeral procession for the assassinated Hamas official.
Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in an Israeli strike in Iran, where he had been attending the inauguration of the country's new president.
According to Hamas, the Body of Martyr Haniyah would be transported to the Qatari capital later on Thursday.
On Friday another funeral ceremony will be held at Doha after Friday Prayers.
