Friday prayers not to be held in Iran due to COVID-19 outbreak

Tehran (IP) - The Policymaking Council of Friday Prayer Leaders in Iran announced that Friday prayers will not be held in provincial capitals across the country this week due to the Coronavirus outbreak as the last weeks.

Iran PressIran News: The Policymaking Council of Friday Prayer Leaders in Iran highlighted the need for people to refrain from attending public gatherings to curb the Coronavirus outbreak, announcing that Friday prayers will not be held in provincial capitals across the country this week. 

According to Iran's Ministry of Health, 76,389 people in the country have been infected with the Coronavirus, 4,777 people have died due to the virus and 49,933 have recovered.

The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 210 countries and territories around the world. 

The US recorded the highest number of the Coronavirus cases in the world, with more than 644,348 confirmed cases, of which 28,554 people have died. 207/201
