Iran Press/ Middle East: Ali Asghar Khaji, Iran's top assistant foreign minister for special political affairs, met with Qatari foreign minister Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi in Doha on Tuesday.
During the meeting, held at the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the two sides discussed bilateral issues and the expansion of political and economic relations between the two countries, in particular the holding of a joint commission in the near future.
They also continued the talks on the current developments in the region and stressed the need for continued consultations.
In this meeting, referring to the recent visits of US officials to the region, Khaji called these movements an action in line with Iranophobia and instability in the region.
The US Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook, has traveled to several countries in the region, including Qatar and Kuwait, and he is scheduled to visit Estonia and the United Kingdom in an effort to extend the arms embargo on Iran. 104/207
