Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, wrote in a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations following the assassination of five Iranian military advisers in Syria that Israel's terrorist action against Iran's military advisers revealed the terrorist nature of this regime.

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, recalled the rocket attack by the Zionist regime on January 20, 2024, which led to the martyrdom of five Iranian military advisers, and added: "This heinous act once again revealed the true terrorist nature of the Israeli regime, its destabilizing role in the region and the danger it poses to the peace and security of the region and beyond."

In another part of this letter, Amir-Abdollahian also asked the UN Security Council to strongly condemn the terrorist actions of the Israeli regime and other illegal use of force in carrying out its duties based on the UN Charter, because such provocative actions are a serious threat to peace and regional and international security.

He emphasized that this regime must also be forced to abandon its other destabilizing activities in the region.

Iran's foreign minister said: The Islamic Republic of Iran categorically and strongly condemns this heinous and cowardly act of terrorism, which is carried out with the aim of diverting attention from the crimes of the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people, especially Gaza.

He stated that the Israeli regime must bear the consequences of these terrorist acts and other terrorist acts against Iran's military advisors, and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on international law and the United Nations Charter, has its inherent right to respond decisively and proportionately to He reserves such actions at the time and place of his choice.
