Iran Press/West Asia: This operation by the Al-Qassam Brigades comes just hours after the Palestinian militant group announced in a statement that they had targeted 12 Israeli soldiers and a Merkava tank in northern Gaza with anti-personnel bombs.
In the statement, Al-Qassam added that their fighters managed to target an occupying infantry force of 12 soldiers in the Al-Jamiya Al-Islamiya area in central Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, using an anti-personnel bomb.
The Al-Qassam Brigades stressed that their fighters also destroyed an occupying army's Merkava tank using a Yasin 105 rocket.
The al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades also announced that, in cooperation with the Mujahideen Brigades, they targeted the positions of Israeli machinery and soldiers in the eastern Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza with mortar attacks.
