Tehran (IP) - Zohreh Elahian, Iranian MP as the first female candidate registered her name for Iran Snap Election 2024 in the Iran Interior Ministry Election Headquarters.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the third day of the registration of the nominees, Zohreh Elahian, an Iranian lawmaker registered her name as the nominee for the 14th Irani Presidential Election.

On the third day of registration, Masoud Pezeshkian,  Iranian MP, Alireza Zakani, Mayor of Tehran, Seyyed Ahmad Rasoulinejad, Habibollah Dahmardeh, Sayyid Mohammad-Reza Mirtajodini, former Iranian MP, Fada-Hossein Maleki, and Vahid Haghanian registered as nominees in the Islamic Republic’s June 28 presidential election.

The registration of the candidates for the early Presidential elections kicked off formally on Thursday morning in the Iran Interior Ministry Election Headquarters, Tehran.

Vahid Haghanian former IRGC commander and former deputy for special affairs in the office of the Leader of Islamic Revolution along with Masoud Pezeshkian Masoud Pezeshkian Tabriz's MP who served as First Deputy Speaker from 2016 to  2020 are the famous figures of the third-day so-far.

The early elections came as Late Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi along with his companions Including Late FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian martyred in a helicopter crash incident on the way to Tabriz, northwestern Iran after participation in the opening ceremony of the joint Iran - Azerbaijan Republic dam on the Aras River on Sunday, May 19.

So far, over 16 people have registered their names as presidential candidates. 

So far, Mohammadreza Sabaghian, Mostafa Kavakebian, Abbas Moqtadaei, Ghudrat Ali Hashemtian, Abdonnaser Hemmati, Saeed Jalili, and Ali Larijani have registered, Mohsen Eslami, the spokesperson for Iran's election headquarters announced on Friday.

The registration process continues until Monday, Jun 3.
