A meeting of Fatah and Hamas delegations headed by Azzam al-Ahmad and Musa Abu Marzouq was held to end the Ain Al-Hilweh camp's clashes at the Palestinian Embassy headquarters in Beirut.

Iran PressMiddle East: On Saturday, news sources announced the resumption of clashes in the Palestinian Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp in southern Lebanon.

These clashes took place between the groups inside this camp and two people were killed and 11 people were injured.

According to Iran press, an official who participated in the meeting on Tuesday night told Al-Mayadeen: "The atmosphere of the talks is positive and it is moving towards reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Ain Al-Hilweh camp."

Despite the efforts of the Lebanese government, army, and Palestinian groups to calm the situation in the "Ain Al-Hilweh" camp, the clashes in this camp, which resumed on Saturday, have not stopped.

So far, talks and mediation between these groups have been done several times to resolve the differences and end the conflicts, but after establishing a fragile peace, they have clashed with each other again.

"Ain Al-Hilweh camp was established in 1948 in the south of Lebanon, and according to the statistics provided by the United Nations, it houses nearly 50,000 Palestinian refugees, and unofficial statistics put the number of these refugees at 70,000.
