Three technical and innovative media achievements by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) have standed out in the top ten at the IBC 2019 International Media Technology Exhibition in the Netherlands.

Iran Press/Europe: This is the second consecutive year that Iran's unique and innovative media achievements stand out among the top tens at the exhibition.

Department of Development and Technology of IRIB collaborate with Sharif University of Technology on some exciting projects, highlighting here Visual Quality Assessment (VQA) using Deep Learning to accurately predict human mean opinion score (MOS) values. Other projects include Low-Cost Motion Capturing with Deep Neural Network for 3D Animations, and Semantic Metadata Extraction for Audio-Visual Content using Deep Learning Methods.

IRIB Vice President for Development and Technology Reza Alidadi, on the sidelines of the exhibition, said: "Iran's successful presence at one of the largest media exhibitions in the world shows that despite US sanctions against Iran, engineers and researchers in the country have a high scientific and technical capacity."

According to Alidadi, the achievements drew the attention of experts and visitors to the exhibition.

He said that attention to the new technologies of the world has been institutionalized in the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and IRIB always tries to achieve them by using the capacities of the country, describing Iran's technical capabilities as remarkable.
